Neymar has insisted that he remains "happy" at Barcelona despite reports linking him with a huge €222m move to Paris Saint-Germain.

There are rumours that the Brazilian forward is willing to join the Ligue 1 club having grown frustrated with the Blaugrana.

But Neymar has looked to stifle the speculation, claiming that he is focused only on succeeding with Barcelona next season.

"The last one was my best season in Barcelona," the 25-year-old told Goal. "I am very adapted to the city, the club and I am happy here. That is reflected on the performance of an athlete.

"It was the season where I felt more comfortable, even though we did not win the titles we would have wanted. We played great games and lived incredible moments.

"Now, we need to work for the 2017-18 season so it will be even more positive individually and as a group."

Neymar is under contract with Barcelona until 2021 having signed a new deal at the club in October last year.

Barcelona spokesman Josep Vives stressed earlier this week that Neymar's exit is not "in the club's imagination".

"The only thing we care is he keeps being happy here," he said, quoted by the Metro. "He played a magnificent season and he is still one of the best in the world.

"He is happy in the club and the club is happy with him. He verbalises it and he shows it with his attitude.

"We are relaxed about that and we only hope next season is better than the last one. Neymar’s departure is not in club’s imagination; the club just thinks of keeping the best players like him, one of our main symbols."
