Chelsea star N'Golo Kante has backed his international teammate Alexandre Lacazette to perform well at Arsenal this season, the Evening Standard reported on Thursday.

Kante was quick to offer praise to the French forward, stating, "I know him from the national team and from what he did in the French league,

"He has scored more than 20 goals every season for the last few seasons in Ligue 1. He is a good player and a good addition for Arsenal.

“He’s a goalscorer, clever with the ball and when he has a chance he has a gift for finishing well. He will be a good addition for Arsenal."

Lacazette had a phenomenal season with Lyon, scoring 28 goals in just 30 Ligue 1 appearances last season, also bagging over 20 goals for the previous two seasons as well.

The 26-year-old forward has also broken in to a very strong France national side, partnering new club team-mate Olivier Giroud before which will provide the duo a good basis for the new season.

However, Kante has also claimed that Chelsea are going all out for the new season, stating:

"We are looking to do a better season together and we know at a club like Chelsea a good season means to win titles. So we will try to win some titles. Win, win, win. We will fight for everything."

The 26-year-old won PFA Player of the Year last season for his extraordinary efforts, but he still believes he has room to improve under Antonio Conte, claiming:

"I can always improve. Maybe score more goals and more assists, always help the team the best I can.

"Sometimes I can help the team to score, to make the last pass or to get more chances and try to score. Maybe I can do this more often."
