Bayern Munich defender Bernat will return to Germany after picking up some ligament damage to his ankle during the club's pre-season tour of Singapore.
Around the half hour mark during the 4-0 friendly loss to AC Milan, Bernat had to be substituted after making a tackle and the Spaniard will now undergo further tests back in Germany on Monday to find out the extent of the injury.
Bayern manager Carlo Ancelotti told the club's website:
Bernat will now face a race to be fit in time for the new season, with Bayern due to start their season with the DFL Supercup game against rivals Borussia Dortmund at the beginning of August.
