Turkish side Fenerbahce are still hopefully of signing Arsenal forward Lucas Perez, despite the Spaniard preferring other options.

The 28-year-old only signed for the Gunners last summer - but after failing to nail down a starting XI spot, he's looking to leave the club as soon as possible.

The arrival of Alexandre Lacazette has all but signalled his Arsenal career is over, with Olivier Giroud also reportedly nearing the exit door at the Emirates.

Perez's poor scoring record last season - only netting one Premier League goal - hasn't deterred any possible suitors, as Sevilla and his former club Deportivo remain strongly interested.

The two Spanish side's are Perez's preferred destinations, although Fenerbahce are still hopefully they can complete a deal for Arsenal's £17m flop.

According to Turkish site NtvSpor, Fener want to add two more forwards to their squad after Jeremain Lens' loan deal expired.

Aykut Kocaman's side have reportedly offered Perez a contract at the club and are currently waiting on his decision.

However, the Turkish side are believed to have only proposed a loan deal to Arsenal, as they cannot afford to buy the player outright.

The Gunners are open to selling Perez, but will be hoping to keep star forward Alexis Sanchez. The Chile international has been heavily linked with French giants PSG - a move that would see him play in the Champions League again next season.
