Hull City have confirmed the signing of Liverpool midfielder Kevin Stewart on a three year deal, bringing him to the KCOM until 2020.

The 23-year-old found game time and opportunities hard to come by at Anfield. After joining the club in July 2014 from Tottenham, Stewart spent time out on loan with the likes of Cheltenham Town, Swindon Town and Burton albion.

Stewart made his Liverpool debut in January 2016 - going on to make a total of 20 appearances for the Reds, the last of which coming against Plymouth Argyle 12 months on from his first outing.

After Hull's relegation from the Premier League last summer, Stewart becomes the fourth new face to join the Tigers this summer in the club's bid to make an immediate return to the English top flight.

After loaning in Chelsea's Ola Aina for a season, the club went on to make use of free transfers - bringing in Fraizer Campbell from Crystal Palace and Liam Edwards from Swansea. Stewart now joins for an undisclosed fee.

The central midfielder has flown out to Portugal to link up with his new teammates, and is available for the side's friendly on Saturday against Benfica in the Estadio Algarve.

Upon his arrival to the club, Stewart spoke of his delight at joining Hull: “I’m delighted to sign for the club, I can’t wait to get started and get my boots on. It’s an exciting move for me and I’m looking forward to the challenge ahead.”
