Despite rumours of interest from Chelsea, Inter Milan and Italy winger Antonio Candreva has declared himself happy to remain at the Italian club, per ESPN

The 30-year old, who has appeared 47 times for the Italian national side, scored six Serie A goals last season, in what was his first campaign with the Milan club.

Yet impressive form at both the domestic and international level has seen English champions Chelsea take an interest in the former Lazio winger.

Whilst speaking at a news conference during Inter's preseason tour of China, the Italian declared himself 'flattered' to be linked to the Blues, but stated that he was already very happy at his current club:

"It's flattering to be linked with a club like Chelsea, but there's absolutely nothing to it at the moment...The club would deal with it if an offer were to arrive, but I am proud to be at Inter.

"I committed to a big project and I am happy to be here. This shirt has a great history, and this has to be honoured each time you wear it."

One slight cause for concern for the Italian side may be the words of Candreva's agent, Federico Pastorello. Speaking to fcinter1908.it, he refused to close the door on any potential deal:

"Its 80 percent certain he's going to stay in Milan, but we're not excluding anything."

I Nerazzurri finished a disappointing 7th in Serie A last season, 29 points behind champions Juventus. If Candreva were to depart the club, he would be the 14th player to leave this summer - joining names such as Éver Banega, Juan Jesus, and Felipe Melo.
