With Ronald Koeman spending big money with Everton this season, it seems that the Toffees are getting ready to sign their 12th player of the summer transfer window.

Swansea City's Gylfi Sigurdsson looks set to join the blue half of Merseyside and Paul Clement needs to find an immediate replacement for their star player.

The Telegraph reports that Swansea City are looking to buy Arsenal's £20m-rated Jack Wilshere in order to fill in the void in central midfield should Sigurdsson depart from the Welsh side.

A number of clubs besides the Swans have been circling around with interest for the England international, including West Ham United and Newcastle United.

Reports suggest that the Hammers are favourites in this transfer as Wilshere is open to joining them.

However, the east London club only seek a one-year loan spell from the Arsenal man due to his injury prone status and the fact that he is currently recovering from a broken leg.

Though rated at £20m, the price for Wilshere may reduce nearing to the end of the transfer window. But clubs including Swansea City will have to be weary of his £90k-a-week contract at the Emirates.

Rafa Benitez is looking to bring Jack Wilshere to Tyneside in order to start making improvements with his newly promoted Newcastle United squad.

A move to the north east will guarantee Wilshere first team game time as the player is looking to be reselected in the England squad in time for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
