Crystal Palace have been linked with interest in Barcelona fringe star Munir El Haddadi as the summer transfer window draws to a close.

There are only nine days to go until deadline day and Eagles manager Frank de Boer is understood to be in the market for at least one more signing after a poor start to the new season.

Palace were comfortably beaten on the opening day by new boys Huddersfield, and lost again on Saturday to Liverpool at Anfield thanks to a Sadio Mane strike.

The two results have left some sections of the support at Selhurst Park concerned about the state of their squad going into the new season, and so it might make for welcome news to read about the club's links to Munir.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo (via Sky Sports), the 21-year-old is being courted by other clubs as well as Palace after impressing on loan at Valencia last season.

The Spaniard is highly unlikely to get regular game time at the Nou Camp in 2017/18, as Barca have enough competition for places with the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez Gerard Deulofeu and Paco Alcacer, and there is the possibility that Ousmane Dembele of Borussia Dortmund could join before the window closes.
