Celta Vigo Swoop for Borussia Dortmund Youngster After Proposed Torino Move Collapses

Celta Vigo have emerged as the new favourites to sign Borussia Dortmund youngster Emre Mor, after a proposed move to Italian side Torino fell through.

The 20-year-old was very close to the switch, but now German outlets Kicker and Der Westen are both running the story that La Liga side Celta are launching a bid to sign the diminutive attacker.

It would appear Mor's time is up at the Signal Iduna Park after the club opted to sign Andriy Yarmolenko to replace Ousmane Dembele, who finally joined Barcelona after a long summer of speculation.

Not only that, but the Ukrainian has been handed Mor's number nine jersey for the new season, and it looks as though playing opportunities would be limited if he remained at the club.

It is thought that Mor could move on for a fee in the region of €13m and as reported by Colin Millar, it has been hinging on Celta's ability to sell Pape Cheikh Diop to Lyon.

Mor is supposedly in Vigo ready to undergo a medical, and there could now be some movement after Diop's move was made official.

Diop had been linked with a move to Premier League side Tottenham, who will now have to look elsewhere for another central midfielder before the window slams shut on Thursday.
