Arsenal have reportedly sent scouts to keep tabs on Aston Villa's young striker Keinan Davis who has impressed in recent outings in the Championship.

The 19-year-old England youth international has looked sharp for the Villains since graduating from their Under-23's side, sparking interest from a host of teams, including Arsenal and Manchester United according to the Islington Gazette.

So far this season, Davis has made a total of 12 league appearances for Steve Bruce's side, scoring twice and assisting twice, helping the Midlands outfit to fifth place in the Championship table following a poor start to the season.

Davis, who signed for Aston Villa in the 2015/16, has been a revelation since his emergence from Biggleswade Town, from whom he signed for Villa.

Offering a significant physical presence in attack, Davis has been bullying Championship defences this season with his pace and technique, which has attracted the interest of Arsenal and Manchester United who would be very much interested in adding such a young asset to their sides.

Speaking on Davis following the goalless draw in the Second City derby last weekend, Bruce said: "I thought Keinan made a difference. He came on and gave us a physical threat up the pitch. When you’ve got that, use it. He’s mobile and has a big future.

"He can only get better as long as he keeps his feet on the ground – but certainly he’s had a meteoric rise. Only a few months ago he was at Biggleswade so we have to look after him."

Following Davis' show of great form so far this season, Aston Villa could have a fight on their hands as they attempt to keep hold of the young asset over the course of the January transfer window.
