The agent, and brother, of Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani admits that the Uruguayan would be interested in a return to former club Napoli, according to Calciomercato.

The Italian media outlet reports that a return to Naples could happen in the future, but insists that the striker is focused on playing for PSG for the time being.

Cavani's agent, Fernando Guglielmone stated: "He is very happy to be in the history of PSG, who he is first in the league and is playing important matches against Bayern Munich.

"He has managed to qualify for the World Cup and has a winning mindset, there is one reason he is one of the best in the world."

Cavani himself has enjoyed a scintillating start to the season both domestically and in Europe, as part of a devastating front three, alongside the talents of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

The Uruguayan has notched an impressive 15 goal in just 14 games, firing the Parisian side to the top of both Ligue 1 and their Champions League group.

Despite his incredible form this season, Guglielmone admits that a return back to Naples is not beyond the realms of possibility.

He continued, saying: "Going back to Naples? What he is thinking of is PSG, but he has always had this idea of going back to Naples. It is normal that he can come back in the future.

"Football is so, that I can tell you no now, but in a year yes. Maybe President De Laurentiis will want it again, but now he is happy to be in Paris."

Napoli was the club that earmarked Cavini as one of the most revered strikers in world football, scoring 71 goals in 104 appearances for the Italian side.

This prompted PSG to part with a reported £55m in 2013 and has since won three Ligue 1 titles with the French side, as they look to mount a serious challenge for the Champions League this season.
