Leicester are set to battle it with Brighton and Burnley for the signature of Bristol City star Bobby Reid, according to Teamtalk.

The 24-year-old has been impressive in the club's superb start to the season with eight goals in 16 appearances, helping them to fourth in the Championship and setting up a Carabao Cup quarter-final against holders Manchester United.

The three Premier League clubs are tracking the midfielder, though Bristol City reportedly want to extend his contract amid the interest as his current deal runs out in the summer.

Fellow Championship rivals Middlesbrough are also interested, and may join the Premier League sides in trying to sign him.

Reid has come up through the youth system at Ashton Gate, and is aware of interest from other clubs. He's proven himself against Premier League opposition this season, scoring in a stunning 3-2 away win at Watford in the Carabao Cup back in August.

Leicester, Brighton and Burnley will continue to track his progress on the South West as City look to make a surprise assault on the promotion places, having finished 17th last season and never played in the Premier League.
