Sam Allardyce Believes Mauricio Pochettino Has Made a Big Mistake Regarding Harry Kane's Fitness

Sam Allardyce claims Mauricio Pochettino made a big mistake by saying Harry Kane will be fit for the North London Derby in two weeks, according to HITC Sport.

Kane appeared to go off injured in Spurs 1-0 win over Crystal Palace last weekend and as a result withdrew from the England squad for the friendlies with Germany and Brazil.

Spurs travel to the Emirates to face their North London rivals on November 18 and victory would put Mauricio Pochettino's side second, and seven points clear of Arsenal after 12 games.

After the Argentine said Kane will be fit for the huge derby, some England fans were unhappy, believing that 24-year-old Kane is putting his club before his country. Speaking on the matter, ex-England manager Allardyce said:

“We’d have been much better off he didn’t say it, wouldn’t we? If he had just said ‘we will have to wait and see, Harry is improving well’ [this would’ve been avoided."

Kane has an excellent goal scoring record in North London derbies since his debut in the fixture in 2015, scoring six goals in five derbies.

Dele Alli, who was also forced to withdraw from the national side through injury, is also set to return for the trip to Arsenal after missing the win over Palace.
