Despite the Champions League still being in its infancy, this doesn’t mean the games lack the potency and intensity of the latter stages. Sevilla completed a three-goal comeback against Liverpool that was reminiscent of the ‘Miracle of Istanbul’ as Ben Yedder was quick to remind Liverpool fans.

Liverpool were cruising in Tuesday’s clash against Sevilla and were up 3-0 after 22 minutes. Sevilla salvaged a point, however, thanks to an inspired second half comeback, much to the dismay of the travelling Reds fans.

Two-goal-hero Ben Yedder was quick to remind Liverpool fans on Twitter and let them know what it felt like to be on the other side of a comeback. Ben Yedder enraged the Liverpool fans who sent him some vile replies to the tweet, but rather than be shocked by the replies, he seemed to revel in the chaos that he had caused.

Roberto Firmino had bagged two goals and Sadio Mane added another as Liverpool looked to be steamrolling towards a win. But defensive frailties reared their heads again and Sevilla capitalised. This would have been an impressive victory for Liverpool as not many teams come to the home of Sevilla and walk away with the three points, but it wasn’t to be.
