Perry Groves Wastes No Time in Laying Into Tottenham After Gunners Go 4th With Burnley Win

Arsenal favourite Perry Groves has wasted no time in mocking Tottenham after the Gunners leapfrogged their arch rivals in the Premier League table.

Having won the North London Derby last weekend, Arsenal earned a hard fought 1-0 win over Burnley on Sunday which lifted them into 4th place after Spurs dropped points against West Brom at Wembley.

Groves told the Metro that: "Apparently, if you listen to the press, that mob up the road are the ones that are flying and the new kids on the block."

"All of a sudden we’ve not been playing to our peak and we’re in fourth place, not far behind second place. We’re coming into some decent form."

Arsenal have won four of their last five games since losing at Watford in early October, but Groves believes they do not have enough the challenge the two Manchester clubs at the top of the Premier League table.

He said: "I think it’s the two Manchester clubs to be honest, Man City obviously are far and above everybody, then Manchester United. Then I think Chelsea, ourselves, Liverpool, Spurs, them teams are very equal.

"I’d say top three (is possible), I’d say first and second is going to be Manchester United and Manchester City, whatever way it is."

Arsenal will get a chance to test their title credentials when United come to the Emirates on Saturday and before that though there is a home fixture against Huddersfield on Wednesday.
