Suggestions advising you on how to see in the New Year have been cropping up everywhere, even making their way into football, thanks to Spanish outlet Sevilla.

Back in November, Sevilla drew 3-3 with Liverpool after the Reds casually threw away a three-goal lead.

Probably the most poignant moment for Sevilla was when club manager Eduardo Berizzo made the revelation in his half-time team talk that he had prostate cancer, which many believe was the catalyst for the tremendous comeback.

Sevilla saw an opportunity to poke fun at their old Champions League opponents and have done it gloriously with this tweet:

As Sevilla celebrated wildly, the equaliser didn’t really have much impact on the final group standings as Liverpool’s 7-0 thrashing of Spartak Moscow ensuring that they finished top of the group, whilst Sevilla managed to finish second.

The tweet has nonetheless riled up Liverpool fans, who by default of being Liverpool fans responded very vocally:

Some tried to pick out how Sevilla were only celebrating a draw at home, which is strangely uncharacteristic of a Liverpool fan to forget their club's history...

Sevilla will probably never forget that match against Liverpool, and bringing in 2018 be re-watching that moment will help top preserve the memory even further.
