Corentin Tolisso's ACL Injury Overshadows Bayern's Win vs Leverkusen

Bayern Munich confirmed Saturday that Corentin Tolisso tore his ACL during Bayern's win over Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.

BERLIN — Corentin Tolisso scored with a snapshot before injuring his knee in Bayern Munich's 3-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

The France midfielder equalized for Bayern after Wendell put the visitors ahead with a retaken penalty. But Tolisso had to go off before the break after colliding with Kevin Volland.

Tolisso immediately clutched his right knee as he fell down, and needed help leaving the field as he made way for James Rodriguez.

Bayern confirmed later that Tolisso had suffered a torn ACL and that he will be out several months.

The team also confirmed that Rafinha will be out for a number of weeks due to suffering ankle ligament damage.

Both injuries will be a huge blow to the reigning Bundesliga champions.
