YouTuber Max Fosh Brilliantly Rebuffed Ref’s Yellow Card, and Fans Were Awestruck

A new means of expressing displeasure with officials just dropped.

Here’s something you won’t see in the Premier League.

First, the setup: on Saturday, Sidemen FC—an informal soccer team made up of the British YouTube collective of the same name—played against a YouTube all-star team at West Ham’s London Stadium. The charity exhibition match, which benefited mental health, cancer and children’s initiatives in Great Britain, drew 60,000 fans and was won by Sidemen FC, 8-5.

The game’s funniest moment, however, came in the 78th minute with Sidemen FC leading, 6-4. Longtime Premier League and FIFA referee Mark Clattenburg went to issue Max Fosh of the YouTube All-Stars a yellow card, and Fosh responded by pulling out a green Reverse card from Uno.
