Memory Lane: Chips off the old block

Memory Lane is a recurring feature in which we dig through SI.com's photo archives for classic pictures.

How's this for surreal? Kevin McEnroe and Joakim Noah, sons of John McEnroe and Yannick Noah, respectively, played each other in a high school basketball game in New York City in 2003. Unlike their fathers' clash on clay in the 1982 Davis Cup final, when J-Mac prevailed 12-10, 1-6, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 to help the United States beat France, this hardcourt meeting went to Noah (and Brooklyn's Poly Prep) over McEnroe (and Manhattan's Trinity School).

And now I will spend the rest of the afternoon imagining what it would be like to see Roger Federer's daughters face off against, oh, let's say Andy Murray's offspring at the Women's World Cup in 25 years.
