Miami was leading for most of the game until Houston tied it up with a three-run eighth. Minor league prospect Victor Mesa Jr. walked off the game with a homer. St. Louis will also go for its third straight win today which included a 16-2 drubbing on the road of the Marlins on Friday. The Cardinals most recently beat the New York Mets 8-7 on Sunday. New York scored five in the first inning but St. Louis wasn't deterred. The Cardinals kept chipping away and broke threw scoring four runs in the eighth that held up to be the game-winner. Jake Woodford gets the start for the Cardinals today. The righty is 1-0 this spring with a 2.84 ERA in 12.2 innings and 11 strikeouts.
