Detroit is coming off a 2-1 loss to Washington. The Tigers scored the first run of the game and held that lead going into the bottom of the ninth. The Nationals scored both of their runs on a walk and then on a walk-off fielding error. It wasted a good start Eduardo Rodriguez who went 4.2 innings giving up four hits. The Detroit bullpen didn't give up another hit until the ninth. Detroit will try to avoid losing three in a row today by starting Michael Lorenzen. The righty has a 4.91 ERA in three games with 7.1 innings and nine strikeouts.
