Oakley wins World Cup women's moguls event

PARK CITY, Utah (AP) K.C. Oakley won a World Cup women's moguls event for the first time Friday night at Deer Valley Resort and Canada's Mikael Kingsbury topped the men's field for second straight week.

Oakley, from, Piedmont, California, won with 82.53 points.

''This is just so fun,'' Oakley said. ''I'm really just weirded out right now, not too sure about what's going on, but it's awesome. I just got told I was going to worlds yesterday, so this has been a great couple days. I'm processing it still, and we still have one more day of competition, so maybe things can get even better!''

Canada's Justine Dufour-Lapointe was second, followed by sister Chloe Dufour-Lapointe.

Kingsbury scored 90.25 points. Australia's Matt Graham was second. Patrick Deneen of Cle Elum, Washington, was third.
