SOCHI, Russia (AP) Exactly a year after winning Olympic gold in Sochi, Russia's Alexander Tretiakov took a skeleton World Cup victory on the same track Sunday.

The fast-starting Tretiakov sped to victory in a time of 1 minute 52.4 seconds over two runs at the Sanki Sliding Center, beating overall World Cup champion Martins Dukurs by 0.41 seconds to deny the Latvian a fourth consecutive win.

Dukurs finishes the World Cup season with six victories from eight races ahead of the world championships, which start later this month in Germany.

Promising youngster Yun Sung-bin of South Korea secured his third podium place of the season with third place, 1.28 seconds off the lead.
