DOHA, Qatar (AP) The IAAF expects a resolution ''very quickly'' in the doping case of three-time Chicago Marathon champion Liliya Shobukhova.

IAAF spokesman Nick Davies says the Russian's case should be settled ''in the next week or so'' after a hearing at the Court of Arbitration for Sport was canceled without explanation last month.

Shobukhova was banned for two years for suspicious blood values in her biological passport. The IAAF appealed to CAS seeking a four-year ban for Shobukhova, who was accused by a German broadcaster of paying Russian officials to cover up her doping.

Reports in Russia say the IAAF, Russian athletics federation and Shobukhova have reached an out-of-court settlement.

Davies says ''it's not exactly a settlement ... the CAS dossier is still open and the IAAF is still involved in that.''
