Norway's Kristoffersen leads 1st run of World Cup slalom

WENGEN, Switzerland (AP) Henrik Kristoffersen won a World Cup slalom on Sunday to complete Norway's three-win weekend sweep at Wengen.

Kristoffersen added to his first-run lead to finish .30 seconds faster than Guiliano Razzoli, the 2010 Olympic champion from Italy. Another Italian, Stefano Gross, was .68 back in third.

The 21-year-old Kristoffersen's fourth win in five slaloms this season extended his lead in the discipline standings over Marcel Hirscher of Austria, who failed to complete the second run.

Hirscher's surprise exit meant Norway's Aksel Lund Svindal, who skips slalom, retained the overall standings lead.

Kristoffersen was the third different winner here for the small Norwegian team. Svindal won Saturday's downhill and Kjetil Jansrud took the combined event on Friday.

Norway now has 12 wins in 19 men's World Cup events this season.
