GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (AP) The second training run for a men's World Cup downhill was cancelled because of mild weather on the Kandahar course on Friday.

Rain added to the problems, so World Cup skiing officials decided to call off the training run to protect the course for Saturday's race.

A giant slalom is also scheduled for Sunday.

Hannes Reichelt of Austria topped the first training run on Thursday, only days after a heavy crash in another race in Kitzbuehel.
