Conley, Ritzenhein headline US field for NYC Marathon

NEW YORK (AP) Kim Conley and Dathan Ritzenhein will lead the American field at the TCS New York City Marathon.

Two-time Olympian Conley will make her marathon debut in New York on Nov. 6. Ritzenhein will headline the men's contingent after a six-year absence.

The American field will include 11 women and 10 men who participated in the U.S. Olympic team marathon trials and three athletes who will make their marathon debuts.

Conley, of Sacramento, California, will run the 5,000 meters in Rio. Ritzenhein, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, finished eighth in the 2010 NYC Marathon.

The New York Road Runners also announced Wednesday that Sara Hall and Ryan Vail will compete in the 26.2 mile, five-borough race.
