It's Not All Bad In Cleveland

We were treated to the sweet taste of pennant race baseball last night as 42-year-old Jason Giambi blasted a two-out, pinch-hit, game-winning home run to give the Indians a 5-4 win over the White Sox. The scene at home plate was wild and the radio call from Cleveland's Tom  Hamilton was off the charts. Naturally, Chicago's Hawk Harrelsonhad quite a different call.

Adults Love Their Toys

The opposite of exciting pennant race baseball took place in the Bronx last night as the Rays destroyed the Yankees. To add insult to injury, as New York continued their late-season fade, Mariano Rivera Bobblehead Day caused chaos in the Bronx. The figurines were not delivered to the ballpark in time for the start of last night's game, so fans had to then pick them up with a voucher later in the evening. This basically started a riot.

How Soon Before They Sell These?

Sure, losing part of your finger is a serious matter, but the Arizona Cardinals are having some fun with the injury suffered by their safety Rasad Johnson. The team tweeted this picture of a foam finger yesterday that really should be produced and given away at an upcoming game.

Windfall For Fauria

Earlier this week, we covered the NSYNC touchdown dance (and follow-up tweet) by Lions tight end Joseph Fauria on Sunday. Quite a lot has happened since then with this story. It turns out Fauria was responding to an offer by Jimmy Fallon on the heels of his Evolution of End Zone skit with Justin Timberlake. Fallon is now donating $10,000 the charity of Fauria's choice. The good news doesn't stop there, though. Fauria has become Twitter buddies with Joey Fatone!
