John Mulaney Uses Oscars Appearance to Do a Full Breakdown of ‘Field of Dreams’
1. While a naked John Cena has gotten most of the attention when it comes to Sunday's night Academy Awards, people should not overlook the performance of comedian John Mulaney
Mulaney, who was on hand to present the award for Best Sound, decided to use his time on stage to do a sidebar, which was a rapid-fire, passionate, detailed one-minute explanation of 1989's Field of Dreams.
I don't even like Field of Dreams, but I thoroughly enjoyed Mulaney's speech.
2. Here's is that John Cena bit in case you haven't seen yet. What made the entire thing work was Cena's first line after appearing naked, as he presented the award for Best Costume.
Just a few weeks ago, Cena told Howard Stern he has no problem with being naked on camera. It almost seemed like he was setting up his Oscars bit.
