Most anyone with an interest in advertising or marketing considers Wieden + Kennedy as one of the best in the business, and it’s mostly due to the company’s Nike commercials.

The company made a huge discovery this week when an employee finally unearthed footage of the very first series of Nike commercials, two of which had been lost for decades because they were never archived. The company found the footage in “some old, poorly-labeled tapes”.

These commercials first aired on October 23, 1982, during the NYC marathon, and they’re every bit as 80s as you’d expect -- the stern voiceover, the "high-tech" green computer screen, etc.[AdWeek]
