After using a GoPro camera to film a short video asking Shaun White to her prom, Mount St. Joseph Academy senior Carly Monzo was treated to the surprise of a lifetime when the famous snowboarder actually accepted her invitation, proving once and for all that everyone -- yes, even you -- can have a prom night full of magical memories if you exploit social media and corporate sponsorships.
White's band, Bad Things, played a few songs before the snowboarding legend joined his date on the dance floor. It looks like they had a blast:

According to Monzo, White flew all the way from Austria to be her date -- her original date kindly backed out once the snowboarder got there -- and also tweeted photos from the festivities.
Anonymous dude, I feel your pain. My date ditched me during my
senior prom, and not even for a celebrity. Trust me, the hurt disappears over time.
