Thor Bjornsson, the 6-foot 9-inch, 419-pound beast who plays Ser Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane on HBO's Game of Thrones was almost signed by the Indianapolis Colts last year.
Bjornsson debuted as the third actor to play the role in the series this season, and at his size, he is definitely the one most fitting of "The Mountain That Rides" nickname. The Icelander is also a professional weightlifter and was the subject of a tweet by Colts owner Jim Irsay last year.
Off/Def Lineman,so many 6-3 to 6-7..320-365 lbs/Big,Physical and Nasty! Speaking of size/strength..GM Grig's just might sign "The Icelander"

The Colts are no strangers to looking in odd places for new talent, as they also brought on Kenyan professional rugby player Daniel Adongo last offseason.
In the end, the team passed on Bjornsson, but their loss is Cersei Lannister's gain. [NFL]
