Packers' Julius Peppers reportedly fined for 'unauthorized shoes'

The NFL takes its uniform policy very, very seriously. Minor alterations can certainly lead to fines. Greg Hardy was fined this year for improper face paint and Reggie Wayne got popped for wearing pants that were too short

Packers linebacker Julius Peppers is the latest victim. He was fined at some point this season for wearing "unauthorized shoes," according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN. The fine isn't from Week 5, Demovsky says

It looks like the fine stems from Peppers' footwear choice against the Seahawks in Week 1. "All players on the same team must wear shoes with the same dominant color," the NFL's rules say. Peppers' shoes in Week 1 (seen above) did not match his teammates' black shoes.

This is a very serious offense and he was punished accordingly.
