Phil Jackson responds to critic on Twitter, defends Tyson Chandler trade

Phil Jackson's known as the "Zen Master," but that doesn't mean he won't come at you if you call him out. One writer learned that on Thursday.

Phil Jackson's known as the "Zen Master," but that doesn't mean he won't come at you if you call him out. One writer learned that on Thursday.

In teasing an article that evaluated the offseason trade that saw the Knicks send former All-Star center Tyson Chandler back to the Mavericks, Chandler's former team, Sheridan said Jackson "hornswaggled" Jackson (whatever that means). The Knicks president was quick to respond.

• Carmelo's stats sorted by postgame hat choice

The Mavericks are 19-8 so far this season and are looking like potential championship contenders in the loaded West.

The Knicks are 5-22. They are not looking like potential championship contenders.

Chandler has stayed healthy this season, which he wasn't always able to do in New York, and is averaging 10.8 points, 11.5 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game this season.

The three players the Knicks received for Chandler -- Jose Calderon, Samuel Dalembert and Shane Larkin -- aren't exactly setting the world on fire.

So, yeah, Sheridan's site is probably accurate in saying the Mavericks won that trade. But kudos to PhilJax for having the temerity to argue otherwise.
