Gambling on sports can be a dangerous adventure, kids. No matter how much you think you know, you're bound to get burned eventually.

If you've been struggling with recent bets, Mark Wahlberg, star of the new film The Gambler, has some pretty flawless advice: bet on old UFC events.

Wahlberg spoke with USA Today at the film's media day in New York, when he joked about conning his friends while watching old UFC bouts on television that they didn't realize were re-airs.

"The thing that I bet on most was repeats of old UFC fights and I already knew the outcome," Wahlberg said. "These guys that I'm with and working with don't know the outcome, so they're like, 'Oh, I like this guy with the blue shorts,' and I'm like, 'Yeah, no problem. You take the guy in blue shorts and I'll take Georges St-Pierre.'"

It's too bad sportsbooks don't allow this sort of thing. It would be a great way to make a quick buck.
