The Maryland women's basketball team came into the season with high expectations, and coach Brenda Frese wanted to make sure winning did not get stale for her players, so she took a tip from a fellow coach and added some postgame awards.

Frese told The Post the unconventional awards help players focus on what they did well, and enjoy the team's success.
“When you work so hard, it’s about just being able to celebrate in the moment,” Frese said. “It’s nice to be able to recognize the moment, and kind of celebrate — in that moment — the greatness of what they’re doing on the court.”
