Astronaut Terry Virts pays tribute to Jackie Robinson in space
MLB's Jackie Robinson Day has extended its reach all the way to space courtesy of Col. Terry Virts, who is currently in command of the International Space Station.
Virts tweeted a photo of himself in a Brooklyn Dodgers jersey and cap on Wednesday to help celebrate the league's first African-American player.
Virts has shown his love for the national pastime and his hometown Orioles in outer space before, even wearing a team patch during a space walk in February.
