Peyton Manning taught Eli about SEC via bullying as kids
New York Daily News writer Gary Myers has a new book titled Brady vs. Manning coming out later this month, but one of the more interesting tidbits to come out of it involves Peyton Manning’s rivalry with another NFL quarterback, his brother Eli.
Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio reports the book contains an anecdote about Peyton holding down his little brother in an effort to teach him more about the conference in which they would both eventually play, the SEC.
From the new Brady-Manning book, Peyton used to pin Eli down and bang knuckles on Eli's chest until he named all the teams in the SEC.— ProFootballTalk (@ProFootballTalk) September 17, 2015
Luckily for Eli, back then the conference only had 10 teams as opposed to today, when it holds 14 members, which would probably have cost him a few more seconds of bullying at the hands of his older brother.
