The Packers are watching lots of tape as they prepare to take on the Redskins in the opening round of the NFL playoffs, but not all of it is of football. The Wall Street Journal has a new story that reveals many of the players also spend a lot of time watching romantic comedies.
Offensive lineman David Bakhtari and Josh Sitton lead the way for the team turning fellow lineman on to the 2012 hit Pitch Perfect which led to several Green Bay players appearing in the sequel as an underground a cappella group.
“It started off as a joke,” said lineman T.J. Lang. “A joke that ended with us being in a movie.”
The entire line is not in sync on their tastes, as center Corey Linsley tells the Journal that his favorite films are 2001: A Space Odyssey and The Godfather - a far cry from the movies his linemates preferred, including How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days and The Devil Wears Prada.
