Did the Odor-Bautista brawl actually help MLB?
Thursday May 19th, 2016

If Rougned Odor gets bored during his eight-game suspension, he can grab something to eat on the cheap.

Texas barbecue restaurant Heim Barbecue is offering Odor—who was suspended eight games for punching Blue Jays’ star Jose Bautista—free food for life. Odor’s punch is clearly being seen by some in the Texas area as a heroic move, especially after Bautista’s bat flip during last year’s playoffs.

“We just thought it would be a funny thing if we Rougie free food because he wasn't the only one who wanted to punch Bautista after last year, so you know, it's kind of a justice, a little bit,” owner Travis Heim told NBC 5 in Dallas-Fort Worth.

The lesson, as always, is that violence pays off, often in the form of (potentially delicious) barbecue food.
