The biggest news out of Rio that does not involve mendacious swimmers is the U.S. women’s 4x100 relay team stumbling in its preliminary heat and looking as though it was eliminated from contention. Team USA will get another shot Thursday night after the IAAF ruled Allyson Felix was bumped by another runner in the handoff zone. Other countries are not going to be happy when the United States grabs gold here.
Oh, Ryan Lochte
Ryan Lochte’s story seems to be falling apart by the minute as footage from the swimmer’s alleged gas station robbery may show him and two teammates urinating and fighting attendants. And to think this all started with Lochte lying to his mom.
