Joe Maddon: LeBron James can play centerfield for the Cubs any time

LeBron James may be replacing Dexter Fowler on the Cubs.

Chicago Cubs manager Joe Maddon believes LeBron James looked good in a Cubs uniform and may have jokingly extended an invite to LeBron James to play for his team, he tells TMZ.

"He looked great," Maddon said. "He can play center field for us any time."

Watch the brief encounter below:

James wore a Cubs uniform to his game against the Chicago Bulls at the United Center after losing a bet to Dwyane Wade on who would win the World Series.

The Cleveland Indians led the World Series 3–1 before losing the last three games and ending the Cubs' 108-year championship drought.

The Cavs won so badly they started flipping a water bottle

Signing James to play the outfield would be an interesting move for the Cubs as they dealt Jorge Soler to Kansas City on Wednesday for closer Wade Davis as the World Saeries champions find themselves with a surplus of outfielders.

Regardless, this is not good news for Dexter Fowler's hopes of returning to Chicago.
