Derek Jeter will not be ready to come off the disabled list when he is eligible next week, sources say.

Jeter's 15-day DL stint could have ended as soon as next Wednesday, when the Yankees are hosting the Brewers, but he is still feeling some discomfort in his calf.

On Friday, Jeter threw for the fourth straight day at the team's spring training complex in Tampa and later told the Associated Press, "I can't give you a timetable. Best way to put it, when I'm ready to play I'll be back."

Jeter has not yet begun hitting or fielding work. He remains six hits shy of 3,000 for his career.
