The Philadelphia Phillies placed outfielder/first baseman John Mayberry Jr. on the 15-day disabled list with inflammation in his left wrist, the team announced.
The team recalled outfielder Darin Ruf from Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding roster move. Ruf has appeared in eight games with Philadelphia this season, and in 11 at-bats has one hit.
Mayberry is hitting .213 with six home runs and 21 RBI in 63 games this season.
