Three Los Angeles Dodgers veteran outfielders -- Matt Kemp, Andre Ethier, and Carl Crawford -- as well as pitcher Josh Beckett have cleared revocable waivers, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports.
Infielder Hanley Ramirez has been claimed, according to Heyman.
The veterans are still owed a lot of money after the season. Kemp is set to earn $107 million the rest of his contract, while Ethier will make $56 million and Crawford will earn $62 million.
Many players go on waivers in August because it is non-committal. If a player clears waivers, he can be traded. If a player is claimed, he can be pulled back, or traded or awarded to the claiming team.
