Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano was back in the lineup for Saturday's game in Detroit after being removed from the series opener on Friday because a foul ball had bruised his foot, the Mariners tweeted.

The injury happened early  in the game and Cano was eventually removed as a precaution in the eighth inning of Friday's 7-2 victory by Seattle.

The six-time All-Star is batting .330 as the Mariners remain in third place in the AL West.
