The Dodgers have called up outfield prospect Joc Pederson, the team announced Monday

CHEN: Dodgers prospect Joc Pederson could be the next big thing​

Pederson, 22, was ranked the No. 36 prospect in baseball by MLB.com and the third-best prospect in the Dodgers organization. Baseball America ranked Pederson the top prospect in the organization. 

He was selected in the 11th round of the 2010 MLB draft.

Dodgers activate Hyun-Jin Ryu and Juan Uribe from DL​

Pederson batted .303 with a .582 slugging percentage in 121 games with Triple-A Albuquerque this season. He stole 30 bases and led the Pacific Coast League with 33 home runs.

Pederson can play all three outfield positions.
