Pitcher Masahiro Tanaka is on pace to make another start for the New York Yankees this weekend, Daniel Barbarisi of the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday.

Tanaka was sidelined earlier this year after he suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. While he avoided Tommy John surgery, he was expected to miss six weeks.

He took the mound on Sunday against the Blue Jays and threw 5 1/3 innings while allowing one run and striking out four batters on 70 pitches.

According to Barbarisi, Tanaka will throw 85 pitches on Saturday against the Boston Red Sox.
