The San Francisco Giants have signed infielder Kevin Frandsen to a minor league contract, reports ESPN's Jerry Crasnick.

Frandsen was released by the Arizona Diamondbacks last week.

Over 105 games with the Washington Nationals last season, Frandsen hit .259 with one home run and 17 RBIs.

The 33-year-old had previous stints with the Philadelphia Phillies, Los Angeles Angels and the Giants, who selected him in the 12th round of the 2004 draft.

Frandsen has spent time at multiple positions in the infield and also has experience playing in the outfield.
