The Cleveland Cavaliers will host the New York Knicks to open their 2014-15 NBA season, reports Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports

The game will be held on Oct. 30. New York will reportedly open its season two days prior when it hosts the Chicago Bulls.

On Oct. 31, one night after the Cavs play the Knicks, Cleveland will take on Chicago, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports

The New York Daily News had reported that the San Antonio Spurs were expected to host LeBron James and the Cavaliers to begin the season, but according to Spears, that plan changed.
